windows context menu copy to move to

Context menus come in handy for performing the task quickly and efficiently. The context menu options save time and effort in navigating for appropriate options. You can easily customize Windows context menus to include the most frequently used features and functionality. Here is the registry hack for adding “Copy to” and “Move to” options to your context menu.

  1. Type “regedit” in Start Menu search box to open the Registry Editor.
  2. Locate HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT > AllFileSystemObjects > shellex > ContextMenuHandlers.
  3. Right-click “ContextMenuHadlers” and select “New > Key”.
  4. Rename the key to “Copy To”.
  5. Modify the default value of newly created key “Copy To”. Right-click “Default” in the right pane, select “Modify” and paste the following value in the “Value Data” field:
    {C2FBB630-2971-11D1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}
  6. Follow the same procedure for creating a new key named “Move To” and paste the following value in the “Value Data” field:
    {C2FBB631-2971-11D1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}
  7. Close the Registry editor and right-click any icon to observe the newly added options in the context-menu.

Optionally, just download the Registry Script, extract the zip file, double-click the registry file (and confirm your action) and let the registry edit by itself (without manual intervention).

Wonderful I’ve been missing those commands from Vista. I was just getting used to using them.
Then I installed win 7 because vista started having the slooow down problem. Now I will be able to get used to using them again they were just starting to prove useful. Thx Much :)
