Play Nintendo games online with JSNES – a javascript based emulator

Ben Firshman has come up with an NES emulator written completely in JavaScript. At the first thought it never occurred to me how it could be possible to do something such hardware centric low-level programming in JavaScript. However upon reading further I found that the emulator used the canvas element to draw the frames. The emulator runs pretty well in Google Chrome thanks to its fast rendering of the canvas element. However it is painfully slow on Firefox.

Anyways check out JSNES and some old time games (preferably while you work for your boss)…:). Head on to JSNES homepage.

It is a very interesting game. I like it very much. It is sooooo classic.
I’m currently playing the new version of SM on my new NDS. The new version is much more fantastic.
