Opera provides a fully customizable browsing experience. Even though it is not ranked number one in the browser market, it is impressive to earn you as a fan. Committed towards providing enhanced browsing experience, it is there to offer ultimate features for customization of entire user interface with minimal obstructions in smooth and full-view browsing. Besides being easy and simple to use, its look and feel is very charming. Here’s a list of features which make it distinct from the rest of browsers in the market:

  1. Fully Customizable Appearance: Opera offers scores of features for customizing its look and feel to fulfill individual preferences and user requirements. It offers a one-stop-shop for all the settings under “Menu > Appearance” (or press “Shift+F12″) where you can alter its skin, panel view,  customize toolbars and understand its GUI graphics. It allows you to find and apply skins, choose from the panels and decide upon its placement, select the toolbars and place them accordingly. It also offers you the flexibility of placing the progress bar at your specified location.
  2. Unique Tabbing Experience: The tabbing experience of Opera is one of the finest. The tab preview is on by default on mouse-hover. You can additionally specify the location of tab bar (top, bottom, right, left) and arrangement of the individual tabs (cascade or tile horizontally/vertically). The most outstanding feature which makes its tabbing experience unique is “New Private Tab”; where the private browsing is on by default. Right-click the tab-bar to access the options.
  3. Speed Dial Your Favorite Sites: Simple and efficient way to reach your favorite websites is to add them to the Speed Dial. Opera offers a speed dial by default when you open a new tab. You can add all your favorite websites at speed dial for easy access. You can create new speed dial entry, delete existing ones, re-arrange them to your preference and can also configure the speed dila to accommodate the required entries. .
  4. Featuring Panels: It has introduced the panels to hold all your bookmarks, links, page info, widget, notes, downloads, history, search and more. This comprehensive feature accounts for a clutter-free browsing experience. You can access the panel directly from the footer or can also choose to toggle the panel at the edge of window. (Follow the path “Menu > Appearance > Panels” and check the box “Show panel toggle at the edge of window”).
  5. Adjacent Website View: Opera is a flexible browser and also permits you to simultaneously view two websites. You can bookmark a site and place it in the sidebar and turn on the small-view to view the entire site in the sidebar itself. You have thus enabled adjacent website view — one website in the content area and the second one in the sidebar.

Flipback/Flipforward is also an amazing feature wherein you can toggle/cycle through the windows with mouse gestures (right-click and left-click the mouse in rapid succession to go backward and vice-versa to move forward).

It is fun using Opera and toggling with its various features. These are just the welcoming features while it is all-set to offer scores of other features under the hood. Experiment and experience the customized browsing with Opera and don’t forget to share your word of mouth with us.

Try customizing Opera in about:config (type “about:config” in URL bar)— easy, simple and interactive interface for setting your preferences.
