Mozilla on Thursday announced the availability of Firefox 2.0.0.18 and Firefox 3.0.4. Both releases are focused on security fixes than on new features or enhancements. If you are a developer you can take a look at the list of bugs fixed on Bugzilla in Firefox 3.0.4. If you are on Firefox 3.0.3 you will be offered this update automatically unless you are using a custom build.

The older Firefox 2.0.0.18 is a successor to the older branch of Firefox 2 and users still using Firefox 2 will be offered this update. The list of bugfixes can is available at the Mozilla site. Some users have stayed back from upgrading to Firefox because of the fear of loosing their extensions (which is a major concern for anyone upgrading to the new versions).
