Google Chrome 6 — How To Get The Bookmark Bar Back

September 10, 2010

The Bookmark bar comes in handy, as it allows you to view all the bookmarked pages and folders. And when it’s a matter of accessing bookmarklets, the bookmarks bar is an absolute must. It used to be placed at the top of browser window, below the address bar in Google Chrome but in the latest update it seems to have gone missing. Here are two ways to get it back.

  1. Click  “Tools” drop-down to the right of address bar and select “Always show bookmarks bar”.
  2. Press “Ctrl+B” to automatically have it show up.  You may have to try  “Shift+Ctrl+B”  if you are on the developer version of Chrome.

Just, in case you want to turn the bar off, press “Ctrl+B” again or deselect “Always show bookmarks bar”.
