Gmail: How To Lookup Unread Mails Exclusively From The Inbox

Have you ever tried to search for  unread emails in  the Gmail inbox and been returned with unread emails from all labels instead? This happened to us, when we were trying to lookup all the unread emails in the inbox.

Well, there actually is a very simple solution to this. You can use Gmail’s search box with specific keywords to achieve this. For this particular task the keywords we need to use are in:inbox is:unread. That makes sure that all the unread mails that show up in the results are exclusively from the inbox and the ones from other labels are left out.
