This has been introduced as a feature in Firefox 3.6. Or was it 3.5?

You'd run out of colours pretty fast if you predefined them too rigidly. I'd suggest offering preset ranges, such as bright colours, pastel colours, dark colours, greyed colours, warm colours, cool colours. Alternatively, you could have the ability to exclude one of those ranges: I'd exclude the bright colours but keep the rest, for instance. Many people find the initial glare of a mix of very bright colours to be highly offputting, though obviously some people will like it. Taste in colour is a highly personal thing. Woudl this be more practical to implement?

I've been using ColorfulTabs for over a year and I find it a great addition to Firefox -- with many tabs open it's much easier to distinguish between them.

One feature request that might make ColorfulTabs even more useful for me and others:

Adding a small number of preset colors *directly within* the context menu for quick color changes.

I often find myself manually selecting a color for a tab -- bright red or green for emphasis, say. Currently this requires several mouse clicks and motions:

-- right-click tab
-- move mouse to "ColorfulTabs" context menu
-- click "Tab Color"
-- click on the color field in the resulting "Select a Color" menu (or enter numeric RGB values)
-- click on a specific color
-- click "OK" / press Return

If users could define a few preset colors that would appear in the context menu, that would save time -- all you'd have to do would be right-click a tab, go to the context menu, and select "Preset 1" (for example - maybe users could name the presets, much like naming Thunderbird colored message labels).

The context menu might then look something like this:

* Tab Color
* Reset Color
* Options
* Preset 1 (Red - Important)
* Preset 2 (Green - Emphasis)
* Preset 3 (Purple - Funny)

Actual preset colors would be defined in the Options menu. Then, selecting a present would mark the tab with the preset color.

I hope the request was described clearly, and thanks for your work on the extension.

OS X 10.5.8, Firefox 3.0.11 and 3.5.4, default Firelight theme, Greasemonkey/Scrapbook/Session Manager/Tab Mix Plus

Hello folks!

FF 3.0.14
Ubuntu 9.04
No Themes.
A few extensions (on the screenshots you see Fancy Numbered Tabs). However Disabling all extensions but Colorfultabs shows the same behavior.

When my tabs are colored, I find it quite difficult to see the color border. The colored part looks one pixel larger, hence overriding the border/shadow. Bottom border is fine, but top and side border are not visible anymore.
Can this be fixed?
And if you think that some users like the current behavior better, can you add an option to make the border stand out more?

Thanks for your time!
