    Hiya it possible to pre load a new tab with a web page of your choice.
    Like when you click on new tab it opens with a Google page every time ?

    Yup there is an addon specifically for that... open homepage on new tab.

    Hi...is it possible to step the tabs, i.e., have two lines of tabs set up on one screen rather than have to scroll to the right to find more tabs?

    yes. search for tree style tabs or tab mix plus.

    I had in mind a horizontal tree, but this does the trick as well.
