Tab mix plus - Option to close tab

    I am using
    Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4pre) Gecko/20090909 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Shiretoko/3.5.4pre
    The tab mix plus is working fine, the only problem is that when I marked the option off close tab button, it is not kept, when I close firefox.
    I tried to change manually user_pref("extensions.tabmix.tabXMode.enable", true)l to the file prefs.js but it didn't help.
    Also I removed and reinstalled the tab mix, but it didn't help.
