7-za.exe is not in the attachment. is it necessary (eg, in the same directory as FLCleaaner)?

You'll have to download it from the link in the original post (the one which contains the attachment)

yes, that is the version without the "readme"-listed 7zip. it is downloadable elsewhere, though, so all is well.

i ran the program, then due to numerous changes in the firefox interface i had to restore the backup i made. i don't know why it corrupted FF, but that was my experience. YMMV

the concept is excellent, though, and i'd be happy to test new versions. i do believe that 90% of FF users would gladly erase all the extension localization files except for one primary language. that's a LOT of people!

    thanks for working on this

In what way corrupted FF? Did you add your current l10n?
Did you make a "search for update" in Addons Dialog after running the app? You MUST do that to update the info in the prefs.js file, then restart Firefox.

I coudn't include the 7za.exe file because the forum size limit.

See the picture for "How to use" (in Spanish)

I'll check if i can show more help and made more "friendly".

Finally, i made a blog to share the app.
A more "friendly" version can be found in:

Shivanand, please add this info in the first post (if you can).
    Thanks.
