Threshold for white or black text
-
It's very nice to be able to choose the tab color based on domain. But unfortunately I have to stick with light colors, since the tab text is always black.
The Fabtabs extension has a "contrast threshold for white text" which is customizable and works very well.
This would make be possible to use any color as the tab color.
Again, thanks for the great addon!

I researched on this actually. And the more I read the more it became complicated. Amongst Hue, Saturation and Lightness, which one should be use to create the contrast on the tab-text?
At first it seems to be Lightness — a color which is low on Lightness should have a bright text e.g black background must have a white text.
But then a color like a pure yellow hsl(60,100%,50%) will get a white tab-text. And that to the human eye is almost invisible.
I need to research further...
