The much awaited Firefox 3.5 release is out in the tubes. Get your copy from Firefox.com. I’ll be putting up a review of new features later and explore it in detail. But if you’d like to know more about the features in a jiffy, head on to this great article by Lifehacker.

FfChrome has a maxversion of 3.0.* – is it FF 3.5 compatible if that is updated or are there other changes required?
Would you enhance the configuration so it’s more clear which options go to which extensions? Some extensions have a huge number of settings (FoxLingo is a good example) and it’s not that easy to navigate a flat list, either for position or to know which options belong to which extensions. Would it be possible to have a tree view of some sort?
Another request, please make the “Show All” work with a click as well as the wait time.
Having made those requests, I also want to tell you FfChrome is one of my favorite extensions. Clean menus make browsing far more pleasant.
One of the reasons I have not yet switched to Ffox 3.5 is that many of the add-ons are not compatible with the new release. I had twenty of my sixty addon come back as not working with 3.5. Some I don’t care that much about, but a real major one was FfChrome. I currently use 1.6 (I really didn’t like the look of 1.7). Question are: Where is this new version of FfChrome, is 1.7 compatible?
I am a devoted user and proponent of the product — one of the best apps out there. Funny that when mashable had some articles on Ff addons, they never mentioned FfChrome. I did, however, in two comments to the article (as Shadow Two).
Only 2 updates need to be updated until I’m switching to 3.5 as well. CuteMenus2 is one of them. Would be awesome if that one was updated to easily work with the update.
As to Ffchrome, disable the version check and it will work also with Firefox 3.5.
However, given that no change is required, perhaps our Indian friend might bump up the browser version required in the extension manifest? That way no need for peculiar manipulations…
If he did it for Colourful Tabs, he can do it for Ffchrome as well…
Would be awesome if that one was updated to easily work with the update.
Firefox 3.5 is based on the Gecko 1.9.1 rendering platform, which has been under development for the past year. Firefox 3.5 offers many changes over the previous version, supporting new web technologies.
I have already downloaded and using it.The security features will improve from previous versions.Besides the crash problem is solved. Now no more crashes while downloading web pages.
Its very nice the feature that I like most is Support for the HTML5 and elements including native support for Ogg Theora encoded video and Vorbis encoded audio
since i switch to the new version of firefox, i noticed that many of my add-ons are not compatible with it. one of them are the real player. and it’s a big problem for me!
