ColorfulTabs 4.0 has been released with 100% compatibility with SeaMonkey 2.0 and partial support for Flock. This is a milestone (and the only) release till date compatible with these three browsers. On the Flock platform we’ve managed to get the tabs colored out-of-the-box. Additionally this release contains support for Firefox 3.6 series. This build does not contain any new features or bug fixes but only compatibility release for the current version of these three browsers. For support you can always go to the forums and I’ll be glad to assist you.

The new version of ColorfulTabs looks not so nice with my second addon “Tree Style Tab”, the fade is ugly and i cannot disable it, so i use ColorfulTabs 3.9.7
With disabled compatibility check on Firefox 3.6b4, I had addon ColorfulTab 3.9.7 and theme Whitehart 3.6.5 working perfectly well, which enabled colorized tabs with original theme style in harmony. So I don’t understand why ColorfulTab 4.0 makes the tabs look like the default theme with no other thing changed? I have to roll back for a moment.
I am the creator of the AvantGarde series of themes, and I must say that version 4.0 of colorfultabs is an absolute failure. It moves the “close” button too far to the right, and adds a really incongrous line above the icon. On an inactive tab, it also adds some weird grey colouring around the button. This happens both with my theme, and the default theme.
I have always promoted Colorfultabs to my users, because I think it is has a great partnership with the colours of my themes. But I simply can’t endorse version 4.0 because of these aesthetic problems. Whether Colorfultabs is compatible with Flock and Seamonkey is absolutely irrelevant to me, and, I feel sure, approximately 99.999% of users. What was wrong with version 3.9.7, anyway?
I love your add-on, and couldn’t live without it. But I will be directing my users to download only version 3.9.7 until further notice. I hope you rectify the problems quickly.

The new look is absolutely dreadful. Not only does it add an unsightly bevel to the top of my tabs (which is too close to the icon and label), but it also makes the colors way too fruity. I had to decrease saturation to 20% because anything higher was simply intolerable. Please restore the old look!
I installed all the themes in question. I understand that the theme developers work hard to make their themes compatible with ColorfulTabs and that they also like their users to use them with ColorfulTabs. The issue is fixed with Whitehart and AvantGarde themes. I’ve quickly released version 4.1 that fixes this problem. If you have any problems to report please make an entry on this thread in the forums http://www.binaryturf.com/forum/topic/remove-new-weird-glossshine?replies=7#post-1109 with a screenshot.
Thank you for colorful tabs! i have been using it for quite some time now and i cannot imagine firefox without it. I know you make this add-on out of love and for the appreciation, so i here by would like to show you my appreciation. GREAT WORK!! keep it up! thanks for the constant updates!
@Blitzzo – the weird close button & unsightly bevel are caused by an incompatability with TabMix Plus – if you disable Tab Mix Plus then you’ll notice Colorful tabs starts working properly.
But, for me, TabMix Plus is the more useful extension – so I’ll be disabling Colorful tabs until a fix is released.
Hang on a second – there was just an update to 4.1 – I can now enable both TabMix Plus & Colorful tabs and there’s no weird stuff going on anymore.
Thanks guys.
Updated to 4.1, now it is better
I love your Addon to, working without it is not possible anymore.
