Get Better Paying Advertisements
You can only place a limited number of ads on your site. The ads that appear from Google have varying cost-per-click. The cost per click of these ads is decided by various factors and one primary factor is the subject of your content or your website. A site pertaining to a ancient-history may not show ads with substantial cost-per-click as compared to a site reviewing the latest tech-gizmos. Thus you have to make sure that each click earns you the max it can. Choose your topics wisely and make sure that the content uses the right keywords so that the AdSense code shows up better and more relevant ads.
-
Get Targeted Advertisements
Targeted ads draw more visitor interest and visitor interaction (read clicks). A visitor engaged by your content finds more reason and interest to click on the ads as they are related to the topic. Make sure that the sections highly relevant to the subject are highlighted to the adsense code. For more on this read Google Adsense Section Targeting: Get highly Relevant ads. Place ads closer to the relevant content and invest in keyword optimization.

Excellent Placement
It is essential and critical that you place the ads where they work the best. You are looking for zones on your website which are the most visible, reachable and naturally get attention from visitors. Know what is the screen-resolution of the majority of your visitors. Make sure you place the ads within the vertical range of this resolution. Another way to say this is to place the ads above the fold. Any visitor landing on your site intentionally or otherwise always sees the top part of the page as per their screen resolution. When you place the ads here you are making sure that they do not have to scroll down to see the ads. Also do read about the heatmap – a map of areas on your website which gets clicked the most. This depends on your particular website and layout however Google has researched this and found a generic heatmap where ads perform well for most of the sites. Go an extra mile and generate your own site’s heatmap. This is where the ads are supposed to go. Other things count like placing at least one ad inline with the content – this makes sure that the visitors come across the ads as they read the content (and if you do so make sure that the ads can clearly be distinguished as ads else Google may object as per their T&C). Get Traffic
You’ve done everything right but you are just not getting the clicks. Well maybe you don’t have anyone coming to your website. To collect clicks it is essential that you get traffic. There’s several ways ppeople come to your site.
- They may come from other sites that link to you.
- They may come directly because they remember your site URL.
- They may come from search engine results.
While link building and guest-posting are good ways to draw traffic, investing into search engine optimization is worthwhile and has long term benefits. As your site establishes, gains popularity and just gets older and richer with content so does it’s visibility to the search engines and their rankings. However it is essential that you invest your efforts on SEO for good results. The good thing about these search engine traffic is that it grows linearly over time if your get the SEO right. So build links, promote your site’s brand and write on popular topics which users search for at the search engines.

Track performance
Performance tracking is as important. Do everything you can to track the performance of various ad units placed on the site. You must use the adsense channels to know the detailed performance stats of every ad, a good site-analytics tool (preferable something like Google Analytics) to track the performance of your site. You need to know where your visitors come from, what they read the most on your site, their locations they come from (so that you can target your content for their particular region) etc. With adsense channels you can see the number of clicks for the particular ad units, the click-through rate, the individual earning for each ad unit and which units perform the best. Tracking allows you to understand the dynamics of this game – know more about what’s happening on your site and know more about what’s happening with your ads. This will help you experiment, make changes and adjustments and more over discover and learn things which are totally new or which no one mentions in public – after all there’s a difference in what you can earn by spoon-feeding and taking initiative.
At the end it is worth mentioning that playing clean helps you, Google and your visitors in the long run. Abide by the rules of the game, learn and don’t believe in anything like easy-money.

I believe that Adsense is the best way to earn some buxs. But is worth to mention that many are following the advice of the blackhats and is sad to say but Google is making it harder for the ones that are playing a clean game.
Making money with Adsense it’s becoming harder and harder. Couple of years ago, Adsense program was really hot
Nowdays, affiliate earnings are much more rewarding. More and more publishers go into CPA networks everyday. Adsense is paying penny per clicks .. Too bad .. I actually enjoyed it while it lasted.
You need a lot of high PR websites to do some profits with AdSenses.. Some time ago , it was way more easy to do money using AdSense
