The video from Guy Kawasaki about "The Art of the Start" has inspired me immensely. I can't stress it enough. He has earned a fan. And from this video , while I learned so much, I can count a few notable things about successful people.

  1. Clarity of thought :

He steered clear of the stereotypical, traditional management fundamentals. He thinks confident and straight. He takes what makes sense to me and feels free to drop the rest. He stresses that in his first point about "Making Meaning". We get it simple and straight, if it doesn't make meaning it's more or less nonsense. Why would someone buy nonsense?

  2. Analytical bent of mind:

He tries to make meaning out of everything and anything. He analyses, he tries to understand and grasp what the idea is all about. The fact is when you analyze things you tend to process the information and convert it into knowledge and enlightenment. Without analysis information is just pieces and puzzles. So he puts his brains to use.

  3. A Good Cause:

He has a goal; and that goal is the the desire to change the world. And that goal is to make a difference. He has an aim and he works towards it. This is the desire that motivates him and keeps him going. The desire is in the public good and thus positive. Everyone welcomes pleasant changes, the changes for good.

  4. Precaution:

He is always watching out for anything eventually causing setbacks. He treads cautiously. Look at the way he asks you to steer clear of 'bozos'. He goes further to mention about the dangerous kind, the one which is tempting and more deceitful than the ones you can easily make out.
